Host Agreement

Last updated: August 2026

This agreement applies when you turn on online bookings and connect your own Stripe account. It sits alongside our Terms of Service. By accepting it in your dashboard, you agree to the terms below.

1. You are the merchant of record

When you accept online bookings, guests pay you directly through your own Stripe account (a Stripe Standard connected account that you own and control). Landcombers never takes possession of, holds, or has access to your guests’ funds, and charges no commission on your bookings. You are the merchant of record for every transaction — the seller of the stay, the party to the booking contract with the guest, and the business responsible for the payment.

2. You accept liability for your bookings

As merchant of record, you are solely responsible for everything arising from your bookings, including:

  • refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and any negative account balances;
  • your cancellation policy and honoring it;
  • the accuracy of your pricing, availability, fees, taxes, and deposit rules;
  • collecting and remitting all applicable lodging, sales, and occupancy taxes;
  • permits, licenses, insurance, and compliance with all laws for your property;
  • the condition and safety of the property and the conduct of the stay;
  • any damage-deposit hold or charge you place on a guest’s card.

Landcombers is not a party to your booking contract, is not your agent or broker, and does not insure your bookings.

3. How payments and holds work

Our tools let you configure, and then automatically run on your Stripe account: a deposit or down payment at booking, an auto-charged balance before arrival, and an optional refundable security-deposit hold placed before arrival and released after checkout. You set these rules per property. You authorize Landcombers to initiate these charges, holds, captures, and releases on your connected Stripe account on your behalf and at your direction, according to the rules you configure. You remain responsible for their correctness and for any amounts charged to or held on a guest’s card.

4. Your agreement with your guests

You are responsible for your own rental agreement, house rules, and cancellation terms, which form a contract between you and your guest. You must present accurate terms and honor them. Where you provide a rental agreement, guests accept it at checkout; that agreement is between you and the guest.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Landcombers and its owners, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, refund, chargeback, fine, tax, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your bookings, your property, your guests, your taxes, your compliance obligations, or your use of the payment tools.

6. Fees

Landcombers charges its subscription and optional add-on fees (for example, the website add-on) as described at the point of purchase. Landcombers takes no percentage of your booking revenue. Stripe charges its own processing fees on your transactions under your Stripe agreement.

7. Payment provider terms

Online payments are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which you accept when you onboard. You are responsible for keeping your Stripe account in good standing.

8. Suspension

We may pause or disable online booking on your account if required by law, by Stripe, or to protect guests or the platform — for example, in cases of fraud, repeated disputes, or unresolved compliance issues.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Landcombers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a booking, payment, hold, refund, or dispute between you and a guest. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the booking tools will not exceed the fees you paid Landcombers in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes & contact
