Don’t let the unpretentious exterior of this woodsy cabin fool you—a beautiful, welcoming space inside will grant you the private, cozy stay at the beach you dream of. With easy beach access right around the corner, Barefoot Sands (formerly Cozy Cabin) is a great choice for two couples or a small family—guest reviews rave about its surprising spaciousness and compact perfection. The living room’s wood-lined vaulted ceiling opens the space, and a slider to the fenced back yard and deck brings the outdoors in.
Comfy furnishings (including an adorable window-seat large enough for a nap) will have you settling in front of the wood stove and flat-screen Smart TV/DVD with a relaxed sigh in no time. Two queen bedrooms, one a master suite with sliders to the deck, are supplemented by a sofa sleeper in the living room. A separate dining room with a large window joins the fully equipped kitchen for meals, and a charcoal grill on the deck expands your menu options.
It’s all a block from Waldport’s expansive sandy beach, dotted with shorebirds and domed by a sweeping sky. You’ll have access to an outdoor seasonal pool and exercise equipment at the Bayshore Beach Club for a small fee, and it’s a five-minute drive to Waldport’s shopping, dining, golf and fishing. You’ll have so many places on the south-central Oregon Coast to explore, from the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport to the Oregon dunes in Florence, for easy day trips that will leave you lots of time to cozy up in Cozy Cabin.

“We really liked Barefoot Sands and intend to return. The only slight quibble is about the softness of the mattresses. We are used to much firmer ones -- but maybe that's our problem.”
“Our group had such a lovely experience staying in this beautiful home. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The house was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated. The common areas were perfect for gathering, whether we were cooking together in the kitchen, lounging in the living room, or just enjoying the quiet atmosphere. The location was also great; it felt tucked away and relaxing, but still close enough to explore the surrounding areas. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to consider adding curtains or blackout shades to the second bedroom. The natural light in the home is beautiful during the day, but in that particular room, the morning sun came in quite strongly, which made it a little difficult to sleep in or rest during the day. Having a bit more light control would definitely improve the comfort level in that space. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this home to others. It was the perfect home to stay while we were there for a wedding, and we’re already hoping to come back again!”
