This home has stone stairs off the deck leading straight down to the beach. This provides access to miles of beach where guests can venture 5 miles north to the Newport Jetty, 1 mile south to Ona Beach, or continue south all the way to Seal Rock at lower tides. There also is easy beach access nearby at Lost Creek State Park.

We especially appreciate the improvements including the demolition of the decrepit carport, the rip rap steps to the beach, the reinforcement of the decking on the south side and (finally) the clean windows on the patio. The house is clearly one of the oldest on that stretch of the beach frontage but still retains uniquely rustic charm. Because of its proximity to Newport and other appealing sites we will definitely return again. Meredith Lodging has added a sense of modern class to the whole renting experience. Even the housekeeping is a step above past accommodation. Don't let the price point discourage you. This spot is a gem in the rough!"”
