About this home
Welcome to Sea Lion Crossing, located in beautiful Pacific City. This rustic oceanfront cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and bonus room can accommodate up to six guests. Located south of Haystack Rock, this home offers direct access to miles of beach from its backyard.
Walk up and over the foredune to the ocean. Step inside your home away from home, settle down and relax! Sea Lion Crossing is a classic example of the 1950s fishing cabins typified by the entrance through the garage that could accommodate a dory.
Upon entering through the compact but fully equipped kitchen, the house opens up to an open plan dining and living room area with a complete wall of large windows looking out to the coastal dune and Haystack Rock. Enjoy an espresso or drip cup of your favorite coffee while lounging in front of the wall of windows enjoying the view. Relax in front of the cable equipped flat screen TV or select a DVD from the wide collection of movies.
For the more traditional, the cabin is loaded with beach books. There is plenty of seating for everyone in your party to relax. The dining room area, adjacent to the living room, offers enough seating for all of your guests to enjoy a meal together.
The kitchen offers a smaller table to enjoy breakfast and plan your day at the coast. The kitchen comes complete with everything you need to whip up a snack or prepare a full holiday meal. You’ll also find a gas BBQ on the property to use outside during those clear summer nights.
Sea Lion Crossing also has easily portable lawn chairs for our guests to enjoy the sunset overlooking the beach. Down the hallway you will find two bedrooms with queen size beds. The bonus room is perfect for the kids with a daybed and trundle bed.
The room also has a combined screen and DVD player to entertain the children. The recently renovated main bathroom has a large bathtub and separate shower, along with a washer and dryer. The second/primary bathroom offers a walk in shower and direct entrance to the garage for quick clean up after a day on the beach.
While staying at Pacific City, be sure to check out the famous sand dune at Cape Kiwanda. From a distance this dune may look “easy” but once you start climbing you'll realize it’s a real challenge! Be sure to check out Pacific City’s latest wine bar addition, PC Pour at the Cape and Beach Walk (across the street from the airport) offers a great selection of sandwiches and Asian inspired dishes.
Hiking is popular at the variety of state parks at your doorstep such as Bob Straub Park, Cape Lookout and the newest addition, Sitka Sedge just north of town. If you are interested in fishing Haystack Fishing offers daily ocean adventures (weather permitting). If you are looking for shopping, check out the local businesses in both Pacific City and Cloverdale or you can drive down to the Lincoln City Outlets about 20 miles south.
Of course, if you are looking for cheese the Tillamook Cheese factory is 20 miles north of town. You are sure to have an amazing stay no matter what you choose to see and do on your next Oregon Beach Vacation. Book your stay at Sea Lion Crossing today!
Beach access is located right out back. Please understand that the dune formation changes with the weather and the access along the entire coast can be steep at times. Public access to the beaches is also available through Bob Straub Park, Cape Kiwanda and at the start of Sunset Drive/Pacific Ave.
The cabin is dog friendly for up to 2 dogs. No other pets are allowed. We ask that you do not leave your dogs unattended at any time in or on the property.
Sleeping Accommodations: Main Floor - Bedroom 1 - Queen bed Bedroom 2 - Queen bed Bonus Room - Twin Air Mattress Please note - Parking for guests is on the right hand (north) side of the white dashed line. There is room for one car in the garage and two cars in the driveway. During the offseason garage parking may be unavailable due to the owner storing a vehicle there.

“NICE PLACE TO STAY Good location with a quiet neighborhood, while we were there. We really enjoyed going down to the beach and loved that we were allowed to bring our dog with us. Thank you for letting us use your space”
“NICE LOCATION . Super location to boat launch, park and beach access. Could stand to have more than one kitchen towel (lol) but this didn’t have any effect on our nice stay. Wonderful to have the garage to off load sandy shoes”
“DELIGHTED Enjoyed as always.”
“BEACH DAYS It was pleasant and comfy”
“BEST LOCATION, VIEW House was perfectly situated near river access and beach access. Beautiful wall of windows, loved not looking at buildings. You cannot see the ocean, but it’s right over the hill. Perfect weather the weekend we went made for an excellent weekend.”
“SEA LION CROSSING I would recommend this rental if seeing the beauty of the ocean was not a priority. Unless you stand on a chair you cannot see the ocean at all. So if storm/wave watching is your goal, find another place to stay. The home itself was very nice, clean and comfortable. Really perfect for warmer weather vacationing.”
“NICE LITTLE COASTAL TOWN. Cozy Home.”
“DUNE WITH A VIEW Wonderful great room with peaceful view. this house is well stocked, plenty of throw blankets and seating arrangements to have a comfortable hangout. A little odd entrance/exit, but plenty of room to spread out. Great bedrooms! Great use of space. Can't wait to stay again.”
“NICE BEACHFRONT HOME "Good for young kids since it was only one level. Kitchen/dining area was great"”
“FOUR NIGHT GETAWAY "We loved the easy access to the beach and the walk to Pelican Brewery or the downtown. The view, although not of the ocean except on your tiptoes, was a beautiful calming view of the sand dunes and you knew that just over the top was the ocean. Comfortable beds and the house was clean and well stocked. Six adults and two dogs - wonderful time!"”
