Local Attractions: The quaint, seaside village of Neskowin is located 13 miles north of Lincoln City on Highway 101. This small, unincorporated community has been a summer resort for over 100 years and is a great place for those who want to stay in a quiet, classic beach town. Neskowin has an upscale general store, the popular Hawk Creek Café, and blocks of quaint homes with gardens and picket fences.
The town swells during the July 4 holiday, when families join together for an Independence Day parade through the neighborhood and a fireworks display on the beach. Neskowin is best known for the picturesque Proposal Rock beach with its protected location along Hawk Creek and its views of the offshore rock. Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site offers ample parking and easy beach access.
The long, pristine stretches of sandy shoreline found here are great for walking, beachcombing or enjoying an afternoon in the sand with the kids. For golfing enthusiasts, Neskowin offers a 9-hole course located right in town, with views of serene pastureland, grassy marshland and the foothills above town. A few miles north of Neskowin you’ll find Nestucca Bay, the site of a wildlife refuge and Bob Straub Park, which leads along sand dunes and ocean to the Nestucca spit.
Rent a canoe or kayak in nearby Pacific City and spend a day exploring the bay, bird watching and fishing for salmon. Viewing the amazing Haystack Rock, tidepooling at Cape Kiwanda Marine Gardens and enjoying a local brew at the Pelican Pub are among the most popular attractions in Pacific City. From Pacific City, you’re a half hour south of Tillamook, the dairy capital of the coast and home of the Tillamook Cheese Factory and boating, fishing and crabbing opportunities in Tillamook Bay.
Neskowin really does offer the best of both worlds. Its peaceful, more remote location celebrates the remarkable natural beauty found on the Oregon Coast, but it’s an easy, scenic drive to all the activities and attractions found in other nearby coastal towns.

I really liked that the aesthetic of the house is updated and modern. I passed up actual beachfront direct sand places that looked scary and dated beyond belief. Very comfortable beds and nice bedding. Easy check in/out process, just really read the direction tips you will get on the last 2 turns up to the house. GPS will be wrong 400ft. before the house. We'll definitely rent again.”

“Stunning house with amazing views Every detail was considered when making this home a rental. Great gathering places for family, quite places to get away and take in the views. You can’t help but relax and take in the views. Every room is gorgeous and makes you feel at home. Kid friendly with all the open space, movies, games and the beach. The beach is not over crowed and the town is so cute and quaint. Village ice cream scoop is a great place to get a sweet treat. We will be back for sure. What a special place to escape!”

“Ultimate. Get. A. Way!!! What a gorgeous property! Views, views, views. Details, details, details. Breathtaking views of Proposal Rock and the Pacific Ocean in general! I had never heard of Neskowin, but I'd heard the Oregon Coast was beautiful. And going into town, Neskowin, is a treat, too. Restaurants, bars, easy living, casual lifestyle vibe. A definite vacation vibe.Remodeled from top to bottom... this home is as beautiful as the nature that surrounds it!The gorgeous top floor master suite and extra loft space is open, peaceful and beyond relaxing. Views galore! The main living room area has a light, airy, open kitchen (love the wall tile and the live edge dining table) and a feature fireplace stacked stone wall... with fabulous artwork, too. The bedrooms and baths are open and inviting. The deck on the main level is an inviting, spacious hangout with a grill and did I mention views for days?!?Downstairs is a whole additional living room/game room with a large bedroom and full bathroom. Walk out to the backyard to enjoy the spa and firepit... be sure to bring your bathing suite and stuff for s'mores! “Stnning Views, Luxurious Home! Every detail was thought of in this home. from an abundantly stocked kitchen,(they even had a crockpot!) to the gorgeous contemporary furnishings and artwork. I wish we could live there! My wife and I loved that it was just a 2 minute drive down the hill to the beaches, as well as the little market and restaurant. Our dogs had a blast on the beach, and then re;axing in the dog beds the homeowners provided. We enjoyed the hot tub, and soaking up the view from the chaises on the deck. Pacific City was 10 minutes to the North, and Lincoln City to the South. Great location! Beautiful home. We will definitely be back.”
