Breaking Waves Retreat is the perfect ocean view home for an Oregon coast getaway with your family or friends. Nestled among the trees in a quiet neighborhood about three miles north of downtown Depoe Bay, the roar of the breaking waves can be heard from every room in this home. With four bedrooms and three full baths, this vacation rental is able to accommodate up to 8 people.
The main floor has a great room with an open beamed ceiling, a comfy living room with a sofa sleeper and gas fireplace, a well equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs, and a dining area that also contains a large assortment of games and books. The main floor deck runs the full length of the house and is located right off of the living room with a gorgeous ocean view. The main level also has two full baths and one with a walk-in shower.
There are three queen bedrooms on the main floor. There is also a large utility room with a convenient washer and dryer, high chair, baby gates, and a pack and play available for guest use. The second floor contains another living area, small kitchen, and another deck to enjoy more of the ocean view.
The primary suite with a queen bed and large bathroom with a tub and shower combination is also on the second floor. Both living rooms have TVs and DVD players. There is also a TV in the primary suite.
Wi-Fi is offered throughout the home. Beach access is approximately a four minute walk down a somewhat steep path (little ones may need to hold on to their parents). The beach is practically private as it is only accessible to the neighborhood.
While on vacation here, you could take a long walk to Fishing Rock and explore the tide pools at low tide, fly a kite, build sand castles, or hunt for agates. With only a ten minute drive to the south of Lincoln City, there are many restaurants and an outlet mall for you and your family to explore. Just 20 minutes down Hwy 101 is the Newport Hatfield Museum and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

“Amazing Stay on the Coast This beach house completely exceeded our expectations! The pictures don't do it justice because the home is even more beautiful in person. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the WiFi was fast and reliable, and the house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. There was plenty of space for our whole family to relax and enjoy, along with ample outdoor seating that made it easy to soak in the views together. The highlight of the trip was spotting a whale right from the back deck, which was absolutely unforgettable. We can't wait to come back.”

“BEAUTIFUL BEACH HOUSE We have stayed at another beach house in Depoe Bay for 18 years, but it was just sold, and our reservations were canceled. We scrambled at the last minute to find another place to stay. Breaking Waves was one of the few rentals left so we booked it. We were so pleasantly surprised! It is a beautiful, comfortable home that we enjoyed for a week. We will definitely return to this home for another stay and in fact, it may just become our new destination! Now to be a little nit-picky - there is a window covering in the upstairs bathroom that isn't functional and is stuck in a semi-open position. The window is clear, so that was a little uncomfortable. The only other item we found we weren't completely happy with was a dirty, wet child's dish in the cupboard. We avoided that. But otherwise it was clean and completely functional, comfortable, and absolutely beautiful.”
“The goal of ocean views and proximity to the beach was met superbly in this rental. Thrilled with all the tools and kitchen items to help with meals while we were there. When we arrived the house was rather cool but warmed to the desired temperature within just a few minutes. Loved the upstairs additional living area! Had an issue with the upstairs shower but assistance arrived to fix the problem within a few hours. Yes, the short path to the beach is steeper for the less agile, but only a few footsteps. If we need a larger house for a big group, we will definitely rent again.”

“"Breaking Waves Should Be Your Pick! ~ This home is great! If it’s on the list of places you are considering, choose it. It’s nicer than the pictures portray. View and proximity to the beach are fantastic, but the access IS steep. My teenagers and I navigated it okay and we’re able to help our toddlers up and down to enjoy some time in the sand but someone who had recently had knee surgery in our family elected not to try. The issue we had was Oregon Beach Vacation’s response (actually lack of) to a malfunction of an advertised amenity. 3 phone calls and we never saw the repai person or had use of WiFi the whole weekend trip."”
