About this home

If you’re looking for a getaway with personality and charm, look no further than The Barn. For beach lovers who prefer an old-fashioned, no-TV experience, know that many guests have called The Barn “magical.” Owned by the same family for more than 40 years and converted into a part-time vacation rental, The Barn has been a cherished home for family, friends, and friends of friends (the family still uses it when it’s not being rented.)

The Barn is located in the quiet and lovely north end of Cannon Beach. Close to Les Shirley Park and Ecola State Park, the beach and the Elk Creek estuary are two short blocks away. A moderately paced walk will take you to downtown Cannon Beach in 10 minutes.

The Barn is an older, comfortable home that offers plenty of space to spread out for naps, game-playing, reading and general hanging out. When you step through the front door you’ll walk into a large and inviting open space, with artists’ touches everywhere. A seating area with a built-in sofa, a writer’s nook, and an area filled with books and games and puzzles -- in addition to the dining room table -- offer an option for every mood and interest.

There’s also wi-fi for your screens. The kitchen is galley-style, and has a washer and dryer. All three bedrooms are upstairs.

The Pine Room has a queen bed and a twin. The Bunk Room has four twin beds and is spacious and light filled. The third floor has “The Cloud Bedroom,” a sweet, little room with a double bed (note that the stairs leading up to it can have a creaky, old barn sound).

The Barn has two bathrooms, one on the main floor and one on the floor with the Pine Room and the Bunk Room. Neither would be found at the Four Seasons, but they fit with the laid-back style of the Barn. Situated on a double lot, the yard of The Barn offers plenty of space for kids, as well as late night star gazing.

If what you desire is a comfortable experience in a one-of-a-kind beach house, come see why so many people love The Barn. You are welcome to bring your dog buddy with you! Please know there's a $60 plus tax fee per dog per stay.

FIVE STARS! Property Manager & Property We love the uniqueness and location of the Barn! Large affordable home, lovely attic bedroom and writing nook under the stairs that our young daughter adores, well stocked kitchen and unexpected bonuses like rain jackets and kites! Mom really appreciates the natural light and lamp in the reading corner.

FIVE STARS! Property Manager & Property This is the first time we got ahead of the game and booked direct instead of from Airbnb as we have in the past. Experience still great. Cozy and eclectic space was great for a rare snowy Christmas. Beach access is great. Fantastic place for staying in and hanging out.
